Hey Y’all I’m Randall!
He/him
I really believe that humor is good for the soul.
LGBTQ+ affirming.
I talk to my dog.
Scared of heights.
On the "See Food" Diet.
Visiting cemeteries is something that I do.
I just love finding a bargain in the sales.
Obsessed with coffee…and rainbows.
Love swimming in mud holes, lakes, rivers, or oceans.
And I am drawn to helping others and continuing to learn.
Maybe you’re thinking, I can’t handle it.
You’re thinking this therapy experience isn’t going to cut it, or that I can’t handle what you’ve been through.
Or that you’re going to lay it all out on the table, and I’m going to diagnose you as “crazy” or not understand anything that you are going through.
So why even bother? You may have even (almost) talked yourself out of signing up for therapy…
…because what you’ve been through is a lot, and it’s big, and it’s been awful, haunting, and not an experience that many people around you have gone through.
And I know I might seem like another therapist with some deep breathing techniques, a worksheet, and a notepad…
…BUT let me tell you, it won’t feel like that.
Humor is good for the soul
Making you feel at ease, giving off a sense of warmth and vulnerability, treating you like the expert in your own life, and naturally bringing in a good dose of humor (usually at my own expense) are my strengths.
Yes, I have a license, yes I am trained, certified, and yes can help you heal with some effective therapy techniques.
But it’s really about me getting to know YOU, your pain, and what you’ve been through. And connecting with you by hearing and learning your story.
And feeling in it, right alongside you.
I have the unique perspective of having been a part of each of my areas of expertise: having been through grief and loss, having been through (and currently going through) my own chronic health issues and diagnosis, and having been raised in the military culture growing up.
What I hear from clients:
My therapist instantly put me at ease.
He was empathetic and non-judgmental.
He used humor from the outset, not to laugh at me, but with me.
He made me recognize that therapy can reduce some of the symptoms of my mental illness; it is not going to cure it.
He looks upon me as being in a collaborative venture to solve my issues.
He helped me move beyond the past and drop hidden resentments
He certainly dug deep.
It was painful at times, but it allowed me to grow as a person.
Think we’d be a good fit? I’d love to hear from you. Fill out this form or give me a call at 326-467-1592.
